# GLP-1 cost comparison 2026: semaglutide, tirzepatide, brand

Bodi Envi's prices for personalized compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide beside the four brand list prices and the manufacturers' offers, September 2026.

## What this comparison is

This is the one table on this site that puts all six options side by side: Bodi Envi's two compounded programs across their four terms, and the four FDA-approved branded products at the list prices their manufacturers publish. The two cost guides on this site, one for semaglutide and one for tirzepatide, go deeper into each molecule; this guide is the cross drug view. Every brand figure comes from the manufacturer's own page, checked in September 2026 and named in the sentence, and every Bodi Envi figure comes from its Plans page. Prices change, offers expire, and the pages are the authority.

Two things frame the table. Personalized Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are not FDA-approved and are not equivalent to Wegovy®, Ozempic®, Zepbound® or Mounjaro®, so this is a comparison between different things at different prices, not the same thing at two prices. And a licensed provider decides whether any of them is appropriate for you; a price is not a reason to choose a medication. Brand names are trademarks of their respective owners and Bodi Envi is not affiliated with them.

## How to read the brand rows

A list price is a specific thing. NovoCare's pages define it as the original price set for a medication by the manufacturer before any discounts or rebates are applied, and say that most people do not pay it if their insurance covers the medication. Lilly's pages define it as the wholesale acquisition cost, the price at which Lilly sells to wholesalers, and say the amount a patient pays largely depends on their prescription drug insurance plan. Neither figure is what a patient at a pharmacy counter necessarily pays.

The units differ too. The Wegovy® prescribing information describes a package as four single-dose pens, one per week, so the package figure is roughly a month at a maintenance dose. Lilly defines a fill as a 28 day month of up to four pens. The Ozempic® figure is per pen, and the Ozempic® label describes its pens as delivering several doses. The Zepbound® list figure is a range because the product comes in more than one presentation and Lilly's page publishes the range; its page states the wholesale figures were accessed on January 1, 2026.

Two of the four branded products are not natural comparisons for a weight management program. Ozempic® and Mounjaro® contain the same molecules as Wegovy® and Zepbound® but are approved, per their labels, for type 2 diabetes. They are in the table because people ask about them, not because they are the comparison that matters.

Personalized compounded medications differ from commercially available brand-name products in formulation, concentration, excipients, preparation methods, and other characteristics. Accordingly, clinical data from studies involving brand-name products should not be assumed to apply to personalized compounded formulations.

At this time, the studies referenced above have not evaluated the specific personalized compounded formulations being provided. Therefore, no claims of equivalence in safety, efficacy, quality, or clinical outcomes should be inferred from these studies.

## The manufacturers' offers below list

Both manufacturers publish prices below list, and because the numbers are specific they are repeated here as the pages stated them in September 2026, with the reminder that they carry their own terms and end dates.

NovoCare's Wegovy® page describes a savings offer for people with commercial insurance that covers the medication, under which they may pay as little as $25 per month with a maximum saving of $100 per month, with government beneficiaries excluded. For people paying without insurance it describes self pay pricing: new patients pay $199 for each of their first two monthly fills of the pen at the 0.25 mg and 0.5 mg starting doses, for fills through December 31, 2026, then $349 per month at the 0.25 mg to 2.4 mg doses and $399 per month at the 7.2 mg dose. It describes tablet pricing from $149 per month at the lowest dose. The page says one month is one box of four pens and that the manufacturer may modify or cancel the program at any time.

Lilly's Zepbound® savings page describes a savings card under which commercially insured patients with coverage may pay as little as $25 for a one or three month supply of single-dose pens, subject to limits and with government beneficiaries excluded, and a self pay option for the vial and the single-patient-use KwikPen® whose regular price for a one month supply starts at $299 at the 2.5 mg dose and rises with dose, with a purchase offer at the higher doses tied to refilling within a stated window. Lilly's pricing information page describes the direct to patient price as the price at which it sells directly to cash paying patients, which is not the wholesale acquisition cost.

Those offers change the picture. At Lilly's self pay price, Zepbound® at the 2.5 mg starting dose is $299 a month against Bodi Envi's $229 for personalized compounded tirzepatide, and the gap widens as the dose rises because Bodi Envi's price does not. At NovoCare's self pay price, Wegovy® after its two introductory months is $349 to $399 against $155 for personalized compounded semaglutide. They are still comparisons between an FDA-approved product and a compounded one.

Personalized compounded medications differ from commercially available brand-name products in formulation, concentration, excipients, preparation methods, and other characteristics. Accordingly, clinical data from studies involving brand-name products should not be assumed to apply to personalized compounded formulations.

## What is inside Bodi Envi's price

Bodi Envi's Plans page says every plan includes provider-guided care, the provider review, medication if prescribed, personalized treatment guidance, ongoing provider messaging, a GLP-1 ebook and diet plan, and discreet shipping. A brand list price covers the medication alone; a prescriber's visit, any follow-up and the pharmacy are separate.

The Plans page also states the rule that shapes the cross drug comparison: for applicable programs, pricing does not increase based solely on dosage strength. Both labels describe dose escalation over months, from 0.25 mg toward 2.4 mg for Wegovy® and from 2.5 mg toward 5, 10 or 15 mg for Zepbound®, and Lilly's self pay price rises with dose. At Bodi Envi, a provider's decision to escalate changes nothing about the bill.

Two limits apply and Bodi Envi states both. Medication is included only when a licensed healthcare provider determines treatment is medically appropriate and issues a prescription, and completing an assessment or paying for a program does not guarantee one. Multi-month plans are prepaid in full, with the monthly figure shown for comparison, and cancellation and refunds are governed by the published cancellation policy, which accepts cancellation through the patient portal or by email before the provider review and prescription, refunds a patient who does not qualify for the program after provider review, and says dispensed medications are non-refundable once an order has been processed or shipped, with no partial refunds on 3, 6 or 12 month plans.

## Semaglutide against tirzepatide

Within Bodi Envi's programs the two molecules are priced differently: personalized compounded semaglutide at $155 to $125 per month by term and personalized compounded tirzepatide at $229 to $175. Over a year on the twelve month plans that is $1,500 against $2,100. The brand list prices are closer to each other than the compounded prices are, with the Zepbound® range overlapping the Wegovy® package price.

Which molecule is appropriate is a clinical decision for a licensed provider, made from your health history and goals, and the comparison guide on this site sets the two side by side on mechanism, trials and side effects as the labels report them. Price is a fact about the program; it is not a reason to prefer one medication over the other, and this guide does not offer one.

## Insurance and pretax accounts

Bodi Envi's programs are self pay, and the Plans page says no insurance is required. It also says eligible customers may be able to use HSA or FSA funds, and Bodi Envi's FAQ adds that eligible healthcare expenses may qualify for reimbursement depending on the expense and the plan, that eligibility should be verified with the plan administrator, and that a superbill can be requested by email.

For the branded products, coverage depends entirely on the health plan, and the manufacturers' own pages say the same: the amount paid largely depends on the plan. No coverage percentages are quoted here because no source on this page publishes a reliable one.

## What the difference reflects

The gap between a compounded program and a brand list price is a consequence of what each is. The FDA's human drug compounding page states that compounded drugs are not FDA approved, which means the agency does not review their safety, effectiveness or quality before they are marketed. A branded product went through that review, is manufactured at scale, comes as a pen with the dose set by the device, and carries an FDA-approved label built on trials of that product. A compounded product is prepared by a licensed pharmacy for one prescription, typically as a vial measured by the patient, and carries no such label. The lower price reflects that difference in what is bought; it is not a discount on the same thing.

Bodi Envi is a LegitScript-certified U.S. telehealth platform that connects eligible adults with licensed healthcare providers for personalized medical weight-management care; it is not a medical practice, pharmacy or medication manufacturer, and it does not sell, supply or represent branded medications. This guide is general information and not medical or financial advice. The brand figures are as the manufacturers' pages stated them in September 2026 and will change; the pages named in the sources are the authority. A licensed provider decides whether treatment is appropriate for you.

## Frequently asked questions

### What do the compounded programs cost at Bodi Envi?

Personalized Compounded semaglutide is $155 per month billed monthly, $145 per month on a three month plan paid as $435, $135 on a six month plan paid as $810, and $125 on a twelve month plan paid as $1,500. Personalized Compounded tirzepatide is $229 per month billed monthly, $219 on a three month plan paid as $657, $205 on a six month plan paid as $1,230, and $175 on a twelve month plan paid as $2,100. The price is the same at every dose.

### What are the brand list prices?

As of September 2026, the manufacturers' own pages list Wegovy® at $1,349.02 per package, Ozempic® at $1,027.51 per pen, Zepbound® at $499 to $1,086.37 per fill depending on presentation, and Mounjaro® at $1,112.16 per fill. Both manufacturers say a list price is set before discounts and that most insured patients pay less.

### Do the manufacturers offer prices below list?

Yes. NovoCare's page describes self pay pricing for Wegovy® of $199 per month for the first two monthly fills for new patients through December 31, 2026, then $349 or $399 per month depending on dose, and a savings offer for commercially insured patients. Lilly's savings page describes a self pay price for the Zepbound® vial and KwikPen® starting at $299 for a one month supply at 2.5 mg and rising with dose, and a savings card for commercially insured patients.

### Why is compounded so much cheaper than brand?

Because it is a different product under different rules. The branded products are FDA-approved, manufactured at scale and priced by their makers. Personalized Compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide are prepared by a licensed pharmacy for one prescription, are not FDA-approved, are not reviewed by the FDA for safety, effectiveness or quality before they are marketed, and are not equivalent to the approved products.

### Is the medication included in Bodi Envi's price?

Yes, when a licensed provider prescribes it. The Plans page says every plan includes the provider review, medication if prescribed, personalized treatment guidance, ongoing provider messaging, a GLP-1 ebook and diet plan, and shipping. Medication is included only when a licensed healthcare provider determines treatment is medically appropriate and issues a prescription, and completing an assessment does not guarantee one.

### Does insurance apply?

Bodi Envi's programs are self pay and no insurance is required. The Plans page says eligible customers may be able to use HSA or FSA funds, and the FAQ says to verify eligibility with your plan administrator. Whether a health plan covers a branded product depends entirely on the plan.

### Will these prices change?

Brand list prices and manufacturer offers change, and the offers carry their own end dates; NovoCare's self pay pricing is marked to be updated after December 31, 2026. This guide reports the figures as the pages stated them in September 2026 and names each page. Bodi Envi's current prices are on the Plans page.
