What this guide covers
This guide describes how to cancel a Hims weight loss membership using only what Hims publishes: its help center article “How do I cancel my weight loss membership?”, which the page dates August 26, 2026, read on September 22, 2026. The article is specific about the steps and quiet about refunds, and this guide follows it in both. Read the linked article before you act; it governs over any summary here. Hims is a trademark of its owner, and Apple, the App Store, Google and Google Play are trademarks of theirs.
First, find out how you signed up
Two things decide what you are cancelling. The first is where the charge comes from. If the merchant name on your statement is Hims, the subscription is billed by Hims and the article’s steps apply. If the charge comes from Apple or Google, it is an app store subscription and is cancelled in the store, since a company cannot normally cancel a subscription it does not bill. The Hims article describes its own app and website only and does not mention app store billing, so the statement is the way to tell.
The second is what the subscription contains. The Hims article describes a weight loss membership with associated medication as two renewals that can be edited separately, and it says the two behave differently when cancelled, so decide before you start whether you are ending the membership, the medication, or both.
How to cancel on the web or in the app
Hims’ help center gives two paths that end at the same place.
In the app, the article says: open the Hims or Hers app, log in, tap the profile icon in the top right corner of the home page, select Subscriptions, locate your weight loss subscription and select Manage subscription, select “Turn off auto-renew on my medication or membership”, select which renewal you would like to edit, then follow the prompts to finalize.
On the website, the article says: open the Hims or Hers website, log in, find Subscriptions along the top menu, locate your weight loss subscription and select Manage subscription, select “Turn off auto-renew on my medication or membership”, select which renewal to edit, and follow the prompts to finalize.
The article’s “Important Notes” section then explains the choice at the “which renewal” step. It says cancelling your membership automatically cancels any associated medications. It says that if you cancel the membership you keep access to its features until the end of your current billing period. And it says that if you choose to cancel only the medication, your membership stays active and continues to be charged monthly. So turning off the medication alone does not stop the monthly membership charge; to stop both, turn off the membership.
The article also says the action can be taken at any time and does not publish a notice period counted in hours or days before the next order. This guide therefore does not state one. The same article links to a separate entry on changing the date of your next order, which is the tool for moving a shipment rather than stopping the subscription.
How to cancel through an app store subscription
If your charges come from Apple or Google, cancel in that store. These are Apple’s and Google’s own steps from their support pages, read on September 22, 2026.
Apple’s page “Cancel a subscription from Apple” says: on an iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, tap the subscription and tap Cancel Subscription, scrolling down if the button is not visible. On a Mac, open the App Store, click your name, click Subscriptions, click the subscription and click Cancel Subscription. On the web, sign in to your Apple Account, scroll to Settings, click Manage next to Subscriptions, click Edit on the subscription and click Cancel Subscription. Apple says that if there is no Cancel button or an expiration message appears in red, the subscription is already cancelled.
Google’s page “Cancel, pause, or change a subscription on Google Play” says: on Android, go to Subscriptions in Google Play, select the subscription, tap Cancel subscription and follow the instructions; on a computer, open Subscriptions at Google Play, click Manage, click Cancel subscription, select a reason and click Continue. Google says that after cancelling you keep access for the time you have already paid.
What Hims publishes about refunds and billing
The Hims article on cancelling the weight loss membership makes two statements about billing and none about refunds. On billing, it says a cancelled membership keeps its features until the end of the current billing period, and that a membership left active after the medication is cancelled continues to be charged monthly.
On refunds it is silent, and this guide does not fill the gap. If a refund matters to your decision, look for what Hims publishes in its help center or terms before you cancel, and treat anything not published there as unknown rather than assumed. A third party summary is not a source for a company’s refund terms.
How to confirm it went through
The Hims steps end with “follow the prompts to finalize”, so the confirmation is whatever the final screen and any email say. Afterwards, return to Subscriptions in the app or on the website and check the weight loss subscription: the renewal you turned off should show as no longer renewing, and the article’s language suggests the membership shows a period end date rather than a next charge. Keep a screenshot.
If you have a question after that, the article says current and former subscribers should log in and send a message through the secure messaging portal, and that someone without a Hims or Hers plan can use the Contact us button at the top right of the help center and submit a question.
For an app store subscription, Apple’s page says a cancelled subscription shows an expiration message, and Google’s says your access runs to the end of the paid period with no further charge.
What to consider next
Medication you still have is a question for the prescribing provider and the pharmacy on the label. If you are looking at another route to provider guided care, Bodi Envi’s programs connect eligible adults with licensed providers for personalized compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, with pricing published on its Plans page. Completing an assessment does not guarantee a prescription; a licensed provider decides whether treatment is appropriate.
