What this guide covers
This guide describes how to cancel a WeightWatchers membership using only what WeightWatchers publishes: its cancellation page, titled “Manage Your WW Membership”, and its help center article “How do I cancel my WW membership?”, both read on September 22, 2026. WeightWatchers is direct about the app store case, so this guide can be too. Read the linked pages before you act; they govern over any summary here. WeightWatchers and WW are trademarks of their owner, and Apple, the App Store, Google and Google Play are trademarks of theirs.
First, find out how you signed up
WeightWatchers’ help center makes this the deciding question. It says that if you purchased your membership and the app through the Apple App Store for iOS or Google Play for Android, WeightWatchers cannot cancel your account or offer a refund on its website, and that you should contact Apple Support or Google Play support. So look at the merchant name on the charge: WeightWatchers means the online cancellation page applies; Apple or Google means the store does.
The second thing to know is your plan type, because WeightWatchers’ cancellation page sets a different effective date for each. It describes multi-month Commitment Plans, pre-pay Savings Plans and standard one month plans, and the section on billing below explains what each means for when the membership actually ends.
How to cancel on the web
WeightWatchers’ help center says the easiest and fastest way to cancel is online, through the link on its cancellation page, after you sign in to your account. The cancellation page itself says that if you would like to cancel or switch your membership you can do it there, and that you can always contact the company through 24/7 chat for assistance.
So the practical sequence is: go to the cancellation page, sign in, follow the cancel option it presents, and complete whatever confirmation follows. Neither page describes the screens after the link in detail, and this guide does not describe screens it has not seen. If the page does not offer the option, or you want a written record, the chat route is the one WeightWatchers names.
WeightWatchers’ pages do not publish a notice period counted in hours or days before a billing date; instead they define when a cancellation takes effect by plan type, which is the next section but one. Cancel before the date you want to be your last, with the plan type in mind.
How to cancel through an app store subscription
WeightWatchers’ help center sends app store subscribers to Apple or Google, and these are the stores’ own steps, from their support pages read on September 22, 2026.
Apple’s page “Cancel a subscription from Apple” says: on an iPhone or iPad, open Settings, tap your name, tap Subscriptions, tap the subscription and tap Cancel Subscription, scrolling down if the button is not visible. On a Mac, open the App Store, click your name, click Subscriptions, click the subscription and click Cancel Subscription. On the web, sign in to your Apple Account, scroll to Settings, click Manage next to Subscriptions, click Edit on the subscription and click Cancel Subscription. Apple says that if there is no Cancel button or an expiration message appears in red, the subscription is already cancelled, and that a trial you do not want to renew should be cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends.
Google’s page “Cancel, pause, or change a subscription on Google Play” says: on Android, go to Subscriptions in Google Play, select the subscription, tap Cancel subscription and follow the instructions; on a computer, open Subscriptions at Google Play, click Manage, click Cancel subscription, select a reason and click Continue. Google says that after cancelling you keep access for the time you have already paid.
Because WeightWatchers says it cannot refund an app store purchase, a refund request for one goes to the store too. Apple’s “Request a refund” page says to sign in at reportaproblem.apple.com, choose “Request a refund” and a reason, and that eligibility varies by country or region. Google’s subscriptions page says past subscriptions generally cannot be refunded, with exceptions under its refund policies.
What WeightWatchers publishes about refunds and billing
WeightWatchers’ cancellation page is specific about when a cancellation takes effect, and that is the billing fact that matters most. It says that for multi-month Commitment Plans, cancellation takes effect at the end of the Commitment Plan period. For pre-pay Savings Plans, it takes effect at the end of the initial plan period defined by the plan you purchased. For standard one month plans, it takes effect at the end of the membership month in which you cancel.
Read plainly: a cancellation on a monthly plan ends the membership at the end of the current month, not the day you press the button; a cancellation on a commitment or pre-pay plan ends it when that plan’s period ends, so the remaining months of the commitment still run.
On refunds, the cancellation page refers readers to the WW Refund Policy and does not restate its terms, and this guide does not either. The help center’s only statement is the one above: no refund through WeightWatchers for an app store purchase. Read the refund policy the cancellation page links before you decide, and treat anything not in it as unknown rather than assumed.
How to confirm it went through
After cancelling online, look for a confirmation on screen and by email, then sign in and check the membership settings: given the effective dates above, the account should show an end date that matches your plan type rather than a next charge. If anything is unclear, the cancellation page names 24/7 chat as the route, so ask there and keep the transcript. Then check your statement after the effective date the page describes for your plan.
For an app store subscription, Apple’s page says a cancelled subscription shows an expiration message, and Google’s says access continues to the end of the paid period with no further charge.
What to consider next
WeightWatchers’ cancellation pages describe a membership program; whatever clinical care you had through it is a question for the provider who gave it. If you are looking at another route to provider guided care, Bodi Envi’s programs connect eligible adults with licensed providers for personalized compounded semaglutide and tirzepatide, with pricing published on its Plans page. Completing an assessment does not guarantee a prescription; a licensed provider decides whether treatment is appropriate.
